Lead Bank Creates New Role for Banking as a Service

(KANSAS CITY, MO) October 2021 Lead Bank today announced that it has expanded its financial technology team by hiring Huma Usmani as Banking as a Service (BaaS) director, further bolstering its innovative services, talents, and client offerings. Huma will focus on expanding Lead Bank's network of revenue-creating fintech partnerships and work to identify and successfully partner with intellectual and innovative financial technology channel partners.

As the need for more imaginative banking solutions continues to rise, the BaaS Director will be essential in overseeing product development and managing API-driven financial solutions specifically related to banking and payment solutions.

As a seasoned professional, Huma has nearly twenty years of experience in financial innovation, from Vice President of Citicards to Vice President of Emerging Technologies, then Strategic Partnerships & Technology at Radius Bank. Most recently, Huma was the VP of Strategic Partnerships & Technology at LendingClub and served on the advisory board of Money 2020 USA this past spring. Huma holds a Masters of Business in Finance/Strategy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Kenan-Flagler Business School.  She says, “I am excited to join a tech-forward bank, like Lead Bank, to power BaaS, to build, brand and innovate for the bank.”
