American Banker Names Lead Bank as One of The “Best Banks to Work For”
The Bank Continues to Be Honored for Its Company Culture and Commitment to Workplace Excellence
(KANSAS CITY, MO) August 2019 Lead Bank today was named a 2019 “Best Bank to Work For” by American Banker, a daily financial trade newspaper that has been covering the financial services industry since 1836. The “Best Banks to Work For” program, which was initiated in 2013 by American Banker and Best Companies Group, identifies, recognizes and honors U.S. banks for outstanding employee satisfaction. Full results of this year’s program are available online at American Banker and will be listed in the September issue of American Banker magazine.
“One of the critical factors in a bank's success is how it treats its employees. This year's list honors those institutions which have gone above and beyond to invest in employees' personal and professional growth,” said Rob Blackwell, editor in chief of American Banker.
Determining the best bank to work for involves a two-step process. The first step involves an evaluation of participating companies’ workplace policies, practices, and demographics. In the second step, employee surveys are conducted to directly assess the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. The combined scores determine the top banks and the final ranking.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by American Banker as a one of the best banks to work for in the country. We are immensely proud of this honor, and for what we have created together. Lead Bank is filled with imaginative, compassionate, and respectful bankers who continuously encourage each other. This national recognition is important to us as we grow to serve a national clientele, representing people and businesses in nearly all fifty states. We intend to be the very best bank for our clients and our staff across the United States. Our mission is to be at the heart of the success of our communities, in Kansas City, and beyond, and American Banker’s recognition helps us set our aspirations for the future,” said Josh Rowland, CEO, and vice-chairman of Lead Bank.
