KANSAS CITY, MO (OCTOBER 2016) Bizz & Weezy Confections and Lead Bank conducted a holiday-inspired design contest and asked for the public’s help in choosing the winners. Kate Austin and Jennifer Weigel were the top two selected artists, as voted on by the public, and will have their art reproduced on Bizz & Weezy Confections’ chocolate bars which will be sold throughout the month of December.
“For every box of chocolates sold, Lead Bank will happily donate $5 to the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI), Bizz & Weezy will donate $4 to Campfire Heartland and the winning artists will receive a commission of $.50 per chocolate sold,” said Josh Rowland, Vice Chairman of Lead Bank. “We are proud to support local artists and businesses in our community. All the areas one-of-a-kind businesses are an integral part of the distinctive character that make up our community. From where we shop, where we eat to what we hang on our walls, all are unique and all are vital to Kansas City’s economic growth,” Josh added.

The Top 10 Finalists in the Holiday Chocolate Bar Design Contest were as follows: Kate Austin, Shafer Brown, Monique Martinez, Cathy Henderson, Allason Lewis, David S. Newsome, Jennifer Weigel and Eileen McCoy. The top 10 selected images will be displayed in the art space next to Bizz & Weezy Confections until December 31, 2016.
