The Search is on for Local Artists to create Holiday Chocolate Bar Design
Lead Bank, Bizz & Weezy to host Charitable Chocolates contest to celebrate Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, MO (JULY 2016) Bizz & Weezy Confections and Lead Bank are seeking local artists to submit holiday-inspired sketches that could appear on a limited-edition chocolate bar this December.
“Being located in Kansas City’s Crossroads, we see the vibrant art scene at work everyday. We are partnering with Bizz & Weezy Confections on the Charitable Chocolate contest to support and promote local artists and local business,” said Josh Rowland, vice chairman of Lead Bank.
Professional and amateur artists alike have until September 14 to submit any 3.4”x 3.4” and two-dimensional work of art, in reproducible format to be considered for the competition.
The top 10 selected images will be displayed in the art space next to Bizz & Weezy Confections from September 26-December 31, 2016. The top two selected artists will have their art reproduced on Bizz & Weezy Confections chocolate bars that will be for sale throughout the month of December. The winners will be decided by vote by popular vote on social media.
For every box of chocolates sold, Lead Bank will donate $5 to the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) and the winning artists will receive a commission of $.50 per chocolate sold.
