KANSAS CITY, MO (MARCH 2016) Lead Bank, a locally owned financial institution dedicated to the needs of small business, will host a community First Friday block party Friday, April 1. The event will be held in the parking lot at the Lead Bank Crossroads location, 1801 Main Street, from 6-10 p.m. and is open to the public.
“Our involvement in the community is very important as a community bank—we want to give back to our neighbors,” Vice Chairman Josh Rowland said. “Hosting events for First Fridays lets us provide a good time to the Kansas City community as well as helps us deepen our relationships with the people that make this neighborhood so unique and lively.”
The Block Party lineup will include musical performances by Katy Guillen & the Girls at 6 p.m. followed by The Zeros from 8 to 10 p.m. Twisted Asian and Jazzy B’s food trucks will be on site throughout the evening, and there will be Buzz Beach Ball tickets for this summer’s rock music festival given away in between the bands’ performances.
A VIP reception will be held prior to the public event exclusively for the bank’s Preferred Members and winners from a 90.9 The Bridge radio promotion. Lead Bank has partnered with 360 Vodka for the Block Party, introducing the brand as Lead Bank’s featured April “Spirit of the Month.” Radio Station 90.9 The Bridge is Lead Bank’s partner in producing the event.
“Staying connected to the community through arts and music has been an important objective for our bank,” Rowland said. “We’d like to acknowledge and amplify the wonderful talent that our Kansas City arts community possesses and to continue to be a driver for achieving a vibrant downtown Kansas City.”
