The Kansas City Artist Coalition (KCAC) was founded 40 years ago as an artist-centered, artist-run space that advocates and supports artists at every level of their careers. In addition to exhibiting artists in four galleries, KCAC assists artists by offering a variety of classes on marketing, accounting, legal advice in the arts, grant writing and submitting for public art commissions, allowing space for creative conversation and community at monthly Coffee Talks and more. Marissa Starke, Executive Director of the Kansas City Artists Coalition, began working at KCAC nine years ago. Marissa is thrilled for the future of the Artists Coalition and in particular the organization's upcoming building re-location efforts that will help to grow the vibrancy of the arts and artists of the KCAC community for another 40 years.
