Summer Intern

Position Type:  Temporary, Full-Time

Expected Hours of Work: 

Reports to:  Crossroads & Chapman Farms

Location:  Kansas City, MO & Lee’s Summit, MO


Summary/Objective

Learn about the operations of an innovative, community bank from banker transactions to making loans and processing payments. Provides support to the various Banking operational and business department teams through research, collaboration, and project assistance.


Essential Functions

  • Provides project support to various operational and business teams
  • Receives training on and learns essential functions of Universal Banker and Cash Management teams
  • Conducts research regarding buying investments and bonds and their impact on Bank strategy
  • Prepares and provides analytics of research data
  • Attends an Asset/Liability Committee meeting
  • Creates Banker Bio Handbook in accordance with Human Resources and Marketing teams
  • Participates in recruiting and interviewing process with Human Resources department
  • Prepares materials for various meetings and training sessions
  • Conducts loan write up for Lending team
  • Attends Loan Committee meeting(s)
  • Attends Loan closings and client meetings with Lending team
  • Reviews GABV roster and determines examples of microfinance Lead Bank could deploy
  • Attends and participates in group staff meetings
  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor or other member of management

 

Competencies:

  • Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Strong PC, web database/Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits and maintains high degree of professionalism
  • Maintains high degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent follow through and time management skills
  • Possesses a desire to learn and high customer-service attitude/philosophy
